Music Dating

Music Dating

Music Dating is an idea you probably weren’t expecting.

Essentially, as the name suggests, it’s a dating site built around people’s tastes in music. Linked into users’ Last.fm profile, Music Dating provides a way for people who are genuinely passionate about their music, and feel that this is a way they need to connect with someone for it to be worth pursuing, to locate other people in their area that may be compatible.

Lonely? Want to find another Air Supply or Rammstein fan to go on a romantic picnic with? We want to hear what you think of this site. And yes, that means you have to go try it first. Kiss and tell in the comments, please.

SoundCloud

Soundcloud

Soundcloud is an online file upload/download site for music, mixed with some social networking facility. It’s designed to help people who work with music (say, musicians or record labels) with a way to easily drop their music somewhere that collaborators and other professionally interested parties can get their hands on it and do whatever comes next.

Worth the sign-up? Any compelling features? What makes this different from other large file transfer services? Go try it out – then let us know. As usual – let’s have the review in the comments, please.

What do we say it is?

Think of it as the cool ‘status update’ bit of Facebook without all the nonsense with the vampires. Best of all, you can send and receive twitter updates (or ‘tweets’) via SMS – so you can do it anywhere.

artist data systems

What do they say it is?
Artist Data Systems is A way for artists to simultaneously update all of their online information across all social networks, websites, and profiles with their mp3s, tour information, release dates, etc. Rather than laboriously go to each one of your online identities and bother with HTML, profile editing and individual uploads at individual sites, simply update your database in one centralised location, and ADS will take care of the rest.
