I was going to mention Xero but Jeff has beaten me to it.

I also like Moneyworks because it works on both Mac and PC platforms. There are a number of versions and even the Cashbook would suit most people

See http://www.cognito.co.nz/buy_new.php?country_code=uk

Although I am a SAAS fan and quite involved with web based systems the reality is that paying a subscription each month is still not that convincing when for 78pounds or NZ$225 you can get the sharp and pointy bits you need and then send the rest to your accountant.

I'm a music producer and studio owner and for my accounting, I use Microsoft Word and a file folder full of receipts that I dig through at the end of the year so I can give my tax preparer something that makes sense.
So needless to say, lessaccounting is exactly what I've been looking for! Thanks for the link.
This is just one more sign that all applications will one day soon be run from the web and connect with each other seamlessly.
