Do Follow

For the technically inclined, it might be interesting to note that I have installed a Wordpress plugin that removes the ‘NoFollow’ tag from the comments, so links to your websites will be crawled by search engine spiders. Why should what I have to say be more important than what you have to say?

  1. I’m a do-follower also. Blogging is social, so it makes sense to be connected in this way.

  2. Hey dubber, just stopping in to say I’m just cruising around picking up some good stuff. Cheers for demystifying the RSS feed thing and totally right there with you on “forgiveness vs. permission” point.

  3. Cheers Dubber, Just taking the opportunity (im not sure one single one of my clients knows what SEO is) while i’m cruising around to let you know I’m picking up some good stuff and am not disappointed! cheers for demystifying the RSS feed thing and totally there with you on “forgiveness vs. permission”. Personally, I’m interested in more discussion on ethics surrounding “opt in” - fundamentally to me - has someone who has accepted a myspace request opted in??? I’m totally about targeting and delivering content to those who want it.

    anyway, back tomorrow!

    cheers, Matt @ Kurb NZ

  4. I think this is a great idea. I have seen so many more people come and get involved in my site because of that offer. It does increase the value of your site and your guests’ comments. What benefits have you seen?
